We do what we want with what we have: applying the media of or circumstance to the art project that is the (for now, at least) ongoing human experience. And I guess that’s just an elongated way of saying: we’re just all making everything up as we go along.

Plot is what characters do with the setting.
Are you living in a tragedy or a comedy?
Brand is what markets do with the product.
Are you selling a commodity or a dream?
Two opportunity projects:
What is the arc of your fate?
Habit is what addicts do with their pain.
Are you clean or dirty this hour?
Futures are what investors do with nature.
Are we pawning or protecting tomorrow?
Two iconography projects:
What is sacred from where you stand?
Mythology is what survivors do with chaos.
Who are the gods and who are the monsters (and why)?
Culture is what artists do with opinions.
What do we deem respectable and how?
Two rationalization projects:
Why did we make up all these excuses?
Identity is what victims do with their luck.
Are we gifted with fortune or at least fortunately gifted?
Laws are what criminals do with motives.
What is allowed and what is punished (and why)?
Two belonging projects:
If we do ever manage to fit in, can we ever get comfortable?
Conformity is what mobs do with their power.
Is there the capacity for music in the roar of the crowd?
Escape is what outcasts do with their differences.
Does your uniqueness equal your shunning or your sanctuary (or both)?
