Kind = Happy
Ever meet people who are reflexively calm? Automatically gentle? People who wouldn’t even think to be any kind of nasty as a response to anything? Have you ever met a person so deeply peaceful that they’re perpetually comfortable exuding their own happiness in public? They renew your faith in humanity, but also, they seem slightly insane in a way you can’t help but envy?
What freaks. What weirdos. I want to be one of them so hard, but also effortlessly. Because the opposite of kindness isn’t unkindness: it’s misery.
Here’s how they roll:
ONE: Kind people speak kindly:
TWO: Kind people forgive themselves and others.
THREE: Kind people rebuild better.
FOUR: Kind people see people as people.
FIVE: Kind people continue doing their things.
SIX: Kind people are open to the magic of the unusual.
SEVEN: Kind people get inspired, not bitter, when they watch the Olympics.
EIGHT: Kind people would rather calm down than burn out.
NINE: Kind people want everybody to win.
TEN: Kind people smile when progress is made by anybody.
Thank you for this. It is the perfect representation of who we should all aspire to, and what responses to lean (far) away from.
TL;DR: This makes me happy.
