Having recently watched a documentary on both Hitler’s and Stalin’a childhoods--both had a lot of similarities but the one that stood out to me the most was the severe beatings their fathers dished out to them. We’re not talking spankings--both were severely beaten, I think Hitler one time was near death.
I’d put that one to the top of the list (as something to not do) As the saying goes “hurt people, hurt people”.
